Perhaps this is one of the best solos I’ve ever written so far. Taken from the song “Shroud For Jesus” from the first Karnak album entitled “Perverted“, back in 1997. Played again for you all after 20 years. Enjoy!

Here is an arrangement for Chapman Stick of the song Twin Babel, the opening track of the second album of Azure Agony.
This arrangement tries to capture the main themes of the song, sometimes highlighting the vocal melody, sometimes the rhythms, sometimes the backing chords.
My plan is to create such a version for one song for each album that I made so far, let’s see what happens, stay tuned!
01 Gen 2017 - - News
I would like to wish a happy 2017 full of satisfaction, creativity and positive stuff.
On my side, I’m working on the 4th chapter of the Goldenseed saga hoping that it will be completed and released in the first months of this new year.
With Born Again, we are intensively working on the promotion of our first album.
I am writing a full album of soundtracks for the show of talented magicians duo, it’s really an amazing and intruiguing experience as well as a great composition challenge.
Some other exciting news are growing under the hood, so stay tuned and enjoy your life!

Here is a small video of myself playing a Weller six strings fretless bass. I’m not a bass player, I’m doing it just for fun :)
The music is totally improvised on the spot, the drum parts are automatically made by Logic Pro’s drummer track feature.

Questo è il primo e unico album dei Born Again, band heavy metal nella quale ho avuto il piacere di suonare dal 2014 al 2017.
Dieci tracce di oscure heavy metal con venature dark e thrash e molte influenze old-school, tuttavia capaci di suonare moderne e accattivanti. Qui, al contrario di quasi tutti gli altri miei lavori, gli assoli di chitarra non sono improvvisati ma studiati e composti nello specifico come fossero delle micro-canzoni all’interno del brano principale, con tanto di arrangiamenti ed armonie ove oppurtune.
Questa band era nata nel 2014 con lo scopo di suonare un concerto di tributo allo scomparso chitarrista dei Rigor Mortis (storica band locale della mia zona). L’album che ne seguì venne pubblicato attraverso la label Polacca Via Nocturna, e uscì ufficialmente la notte di Halloween night del 2016.

This is a 4 minutes long improvisation on a B drone.
Here and there it reminds some typical aspect of mr. Steve Vai‘s style (obviously I don’t want to be so pretentious… lol)
I went to one of his concerts lately, and I really loved the long sections in which he was making the guitar literally sing on a long drone note, so here it is a small tribute to his unequable taste.

Happy new year folks!
2016 has officially begun. I hope it will bring everybody loads of joy and satisfactions.
On my side, I’m working on different new projects, hopefully I will spew out 3 or 4 new releases in different genres, ranging from progressive acoustic stuff, to extreme death metal rage, so stay tuned… you won’t be disappointed!
