This tune is quite an experiment.
I recorded each instrument (fretless bass, 8 strings guitar, 7 strings guitar, chapman stick, keyboards and sax) without actually hearing the others, just the click that pulses at 51bmp.
This resulted in an ominous cacophonous sequence of chords generating unexpected stacks of frequencies.
If you are so brave to reach the end please write in the comments what sensations this mess gave you, if any.

Here is a short composition on the fretless bass alone. The bass is a Weller, a small German brand that sells its instruments on eBay for very reasonable prices, give them a check, my bass is very well made and can easily compete with superior brands.
The sound is direct from the instrument (no amps simulations or whatsoever) with reverb and delay.
Perhaps the central part could be more refined and well played… let me know what you think :)

This is an extract from the famous Chopin’s Polonaise nr. 53 (“Heroic”) simplified and adapted on the seven strings guitar.
The guitar, my BassLab signature model, is tuned one step below standard. Sound has been made with a amp simulator plugin but without the cabinet simulation, to give that “snappiness”.

Questo è il quarto capitolo del mio progetto Goldenseed, realizzato e pubblicato nel 2017, diversi anni dopo il suo predecessore.
Inizialmente, l’idea era quella di scrivere un album di solo Chapman Stick, con l’eventuale aggiunta di alcune linee vocali melodiche. Tuttavia, tutti i cantanti con cui ero entrato in contatto non erano riusciti ad entrare nel mood di questo lavoro, così alla fine, decisi di cambiare drasticamente gli arrangiamenti e trasformare il tutto in un album dei Goldenseed.
Sull’ossatura delle parti di Stick, che suona effettivamente le parti che avevo scritto originariamente, ho aggiunto chitarre 8 corde, basso 6 corde fretless, alcuni sintetizzatori e una voce rauca e sforzata fatta da me. ll risultato è quello che potete sentire sull’album: 10 brani di death metal molto progressivo con un sacco di lavoro di basso.
I testi trattano di teorie cospirazioniste, ora tanto di moda, ma modificate con ulteriore fantasia.
L’album è stato rilasciato solo digitalmente e lo potete trovare su tutte le principali piattaforme di streaming.

Questo è il primo e per ora unico lavoro pubblicato direttamente a nome mio piuttosto che sotto qualche progetto o band.
I 17 brani che compongono questo lavoro furono scritti in pochi mesi all’inizio del 2017, allo scopo di essere usati come colonna sonora degli spettacoli dell’illusionista italiano Gasp. Potrete sentire alcuni di questi brani ai suoi spettacoli.
Questo lavoro è interamente strumentale (fatta eccezione per qualche raro cameo di voce parlata), ma soprattutto non è stato utilizzato nessuno strumento musicale reale: tutto ciò che sentite è stato scritto e composto a livello di partitura e renderizzato attraverso strumenti virtuali e plugin dedicati.
Nonostante ciò, i brani suonano intriganti, atmosferici e misteriosi, come si addice a un vero spettacolo di illusionismo.

Here is some melodic improvisation on the Chapman Stick. I strongly believe that is instrument is an ideal companion for music that’s being created on the fly. Even if it could look like guitar and bass strings on a same huge neck, it’s more like a portable piano to me.
